How to Set Up a StudentWeb ftp folder
Note: To activate your account you must first login one time in any of these computer open labs: ELB110, ELB310 or L180. These instructions will map StudentWeb folder on any computer with internet access

You do not need the following steps if there is a link on your classroom desktop. Simply skip to step # 10 after having logged on one time in the previously mentioned open labs.

The size limit on the StudentWeb folder is 25Mb.

Step 1
Open My Computer in the Start Menu.


Step 2
Click on My Network Places.

Step 3
Click on Add a network place

Step 4
Click on Next to continue.

Step 5
Click on Choose another network location and then click Next..

Step 6
Type in ftp://studentweb.howardcc.edu exactly as it appears in the example below. Then click Next.

Step 7
When this window comes up it will have the Log on anonymously checked. Uncheck it and the click Next.

Step 8
The name for this network place will already be entered. Click Next.

Step 9
Click Finish.

Step 10
Enter in your student login and password and click Log On. Your folder will now be created and ready for you to use.
NOTE: To login in you must add hccmain/ in front of your username.
